The BT Red Nose Desert Trek team are finding day three of the trek harder than ever as most of the trekkers have been struck down by injuries and ailments as the unrelenting heat and tough terrain continues to take its toll. Visually impaired Radio 4 presenter Peter White has had to stop walking today, return to base camp and receive medical treatment. He has developed blood in the blisters on his feet which could become infected if they do not receive urgent attention.
The brave trekkers are aiming to raise money for Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives in Africa and the UK. Just a small amount of money can make a huge difference – so please sponsor our BT Desert Trekkers now!
