Tees Online
Back to BT Tradespace blog
Last week we caught up with Pauline Adams of TeesOnLine.co.uk to hear about a great opportunity that arose from using the BT Tradespace communities. Here she tells us about her exciting plans.
Communities bring partnerships opportunities
I first came across Little Gems Photography in the Working Mums Community in January this year. Trish of Little Gems was introducing her business which has teamed up with the Shooting Stars Childrens Hospice and plans to donate 5% of her print sales to the Hospice. I thought this was a lovely thing to do and replied to the thread…
I took a look at Little Gems Photography BT Tradespace site………..wow! The photographs are stunning, absolutely fantastic and then I went to her website. I instantly became a Fan of them on BT Tradespace.
Trish then contacted me thanking me for becoming a Fan and we started ‘talking’ about our businesses and family life.
When I had some of my own photographs to put on my BT Tradespace site I was a bit hesitant to say the least, to Publish and Announce them to my Fans, as Little Gems Photography was now on my Fan list! I have always had an issue with my photographs, so when I ‘Published and Announced’ my new photographs I pointed out that they were an improvement on the last set!
Then in March Trish contacted me with a proposition. She obviously explained that she did not wish to offend, but felt that my site was in need of some new photography and as she wanted to build up her children’s fashion portfolio it could be mutually beneficial if we got together with TeesOnLine.co.uk products and Little Gems Photography.
I have been selling my own range of printed t-shirts on BT Tradespace for 3 years now and have done really well, but I have always been the first to admit that my business would be even better if I had professional photographs. Working with Little Gems Photography to help build up her children’s fashion portfolio is an amazing opportunity for me and obviously a benefit to both our businesses and shows how the BT Tradespace Communities really do work to the benefit of those who use them.
At the moment I am sorting out suitable locations in Wales such as the beach or National Parks for a photoshoot and children to model my t-shirt range. I will be able to email videos of different locations to Trish using my Flip Camcorder………hopefully she will be more impressed with my videos than photographs!
We hope to be able to carry out the photoshoot sometime in May when the weather improves! I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
Pauline
