Featured Tradespacer: Anita Hunt – writing her way to success!

Ever so often, you send in a really good news story to the BT Tradespace HQ that’s touches us and that is worth featuring on this blog. This is one of them.

In celebration of ‘International Children’s Book Day‘, Anita Hunt, of Nita Joy Craft is launching her own book Matty-boy & The Secret Pigeon Racket that’s got the community tweeting and talking!

The subject is of her book is one close to Anita’s heart as a youth and pastoral worker and one we all probably feel strongly about – bullying.

Aimed at 8-12 year olds, Anita’s story revolves around an 8 year old boy called Matt who has to go into foster care when his mum becomes ill. The story follows him as he experiences the problems of being the new kid at school including issues such as bullying. Matt makes a friend in Percy the Pigeon, who lands up on his windowsill one day with family problems of his own. The story evolves as Matt finds resolutions to his own issues while helping Percy deal with his.

What we love about Anita is her passion – not only for her personalised cards but for helping other people. And what we love even more is the way the BT Tradespace community is supporting her. Just log in to Twitter to see what people are saying about her book. Not only has she got herself in the local newspaper, but she’s got comedian Bill Bailey giving her the thumbs up!
