How to list your services on BT Tradespace

1. Log in with your username and password.
You’ll need to have an enhanced business profile to add services to your Tradespace. This is quick and free to set up, plus we’ve step-by-step instructions to guide you through.
2. Open the services set-up wizard to list your services online.
- You’ll need a small image (136 x 136 pixels) and a description for each service you want to add.
- Click ‘Begin’ at the bottom of the page.
3. Describe your service
- Give your service a name.
- Write a sentence or two to describe the service you’re offering. If you’re adding more than one service, ask customers to tell you which service they want when they request a booking (e.g. Quote x when booking).
- Upload your image by clicking on ‘Choose file’.
- For new images, click ‘Add from PC’. Select your image. Now enter a title for the image. You can also add keywords if you like. Click ‘Save’. Your image is also saved in your media library, so you can use it again!
- To add an image you’ve already uploaded, click ‘Add from library’, select your image, then click ‘Save’.
- Enter keywords for your service. Pick words or phrases that will help visitors find it on BT Tradespace.
- Click ‘Continue’.
4. Add another service
Click on ‘Add service’ to add more services to your Tradespace and repeat the steps above.
5. Publish your services
- Click ‘Publish’ and customers can start sending enquiries about your services.
- Choose ‘Publish & announce’ to also send an email to your contacts that announces your new services.
To publish and announce:
- Choose the contacts who will receive your notification by clicking on the arrow ‘>’.
- If you want to add new people to the list, use ‘Add new contacts’ to do this, then click ‘Save new contacts’ to return to this page.
- Scroll down and type your message in the box.
- Click ‘Publish & announce’. This will send your message and publish your services.
Success! Visitors to your Tradespace will see a new ‘Our services’ page with a ‘Request booking’ button next to each service you’ve listed.
Alert: Until you activate you free BT Book it now account, visitors can only email you about your services.
How to start taking bookings online
To take bookings online you need to set up your services, then activate your free account at BT Book it now.
To activate your account, go to your services admin.
You’ll find this in ‘My Tradespace’.
- Click on ‘Update your Tradespace’.
- Go to ‘Our services’.
- Click on ‘Activate bookings’.
That’s it! Your BT Book it now account has been activated. Visitors to your Tradespace will now see a ‘Book now’ button next to each service.
This opens up a calendar so visitors can select a time slot for an appointment. You’ll receive an email with their details that asks you to confirm or decline this appointment.
If you confirm the appointment, the time slot will show as booked on your calendar and other visitors won’t be able to request it.
You can also edit your business details and opening hours (which are set to 9am to 5.30pm as default) on BT Book it now so customers know when you’re usually available.
