Welcome to the all new BT Tradespace!

Back to BT Tradespace blog

In case you haven’t noticed – we’ve launched a new and improved BT Tradespace! It’s been a long, hard slog but we got there in the end and we hope, like us, you’ll find – it’s been worth the wait. Click on the image to see a video of what’s on offer.

So what’s new?

Apart from a whole new look and feel that makes it easier for you to use and enhances your online experience, here’s some of the other changes we’ve made.

We’ve launched a new Marketplace section

Our Marketplace now forms a core part of BT Tradespace and is designed to showcase products and services on offer from our individual Tradespacers on BT Tradespace.

We’ve introduced an enhanced list of categories

We’ve been listening to your feedback and therefore, we’ve enhanced our category listing to allow business users to list their businesses and products and services in one or more category.

Local search is here!

With the launch of our new-look website, you can now perform local searches to find a business that’s within your area. Plus, you can see a mapped version of the results.

Increased visibility if you keep your Tradespace active and updated.

The key to promoting your business online is all about what you do and how you use your Tradespace to showcase your business, products and services. So users who regularly update their Tradespaces with new content – (blog posts, podcasts, videos, pictures, or even community posts) have a better chance of being featured on the main areas of our website like the Best of BT Tradespace section or the homepage.

Improved benefits and added features for the individual membership packages

When you initially sign up to BT Tradespace, you automatically get our free, basic membership package – BT Tradespace Basic. So the good news for members on the free package is:

The content capacity for BT Tradespace Basic has been increased. Businesses can now use their Tradespace to:

  • Add up to 50 featured products and services (it was only five previously)
  • Upload up to 50 photos (it was only five previously) within Tradespace
  • Feature up to 10 videos and 10 podcasts (two each before).
  • Access to special offers of BT Products and services
  • 5% BT transactional cost on sales when you sell with PayPal.
  • Get exclusive offers of BT Products and Services.

For customers who are paying for our chargeable BT Tradespace Contact package – there’s good news too:

  • You can have your business, products and services appear prominently in search results with a bold listing.
  • You can add ‘buy now‘ buttons to products and services so customers can buy instantly when you sell with PayPal.
  • Alternative, you can choose to add a ‘Buy from My Site‘ button to your products/services to sell directly from your own site.
  • You can enjoy a 0% BT transaction fee on sales (until 31st March 2009, terms and conditions apply).
  • Special and exclusive offers of BT Products and Services.

To find out more about the individual features mentioned above and to learn what you should do to make sure your Tradespace is up to speed visit our FAQs.

That’s it. Of course, the journey for us doesn’t end here – it’s back to the drawing board for us to keep working to improve our website. So here’s the deal – you keep your feedback coming and we’ll keep taking BT Tradespace to the next level and the next and the next….

Fantastic improvements – I will be seriously looking at upgrading soon.
Question.
Any development planned to enable forms to be added? or for customers to upload products I’m selling?
thank you
