BT Tradespace has been going for over two years now (since April 2007) and what started out as a bunch of web heads (albeit BT ones) wanting to show the world how great social media can be for business has now turned into a thriving online community of people who want to love what they buy and know the people they buy from.

So, if you’re here to shop, please feel free to browse the Tradespaces to know the people you’re buying from and be safe in the knowledge they are bona fide businesses. And, if you’re a business, set up or use your Tradespace to build trust, promote yourself and sell effectively.

Of course, the added bonus for buyers and sellers is that Tradespace is a social place, so you can meet like-minded people, get answers from experts and/or just hang out.

Buying is easy on Tradespace. You don’t need to sign up (or have a PayPal account) to shop on BT Tradespace. But if you do sign up, there’s some great stuff you can do like have your own news, create a list of favourite businesses and become a fan, meet people in the community – you get the idea. If you know what you’re looking for just type it into the search box to check out the hottest selling items or see what your friends recommend. It will certainly save your legs.

Sell

Whether you work out of a factory, a shop or your kitchen, BT Tradespace makes it easy for you to get noticed and to sell. Social media is pretty much like a conversation – once you start it, you can’t leave it midway so sign up to create a Tradespace and keep it updated by adding a shop and/or services, use pictures, video, news to tell your story and you’re away!
